Empty the tank before cleaning, disconnect the device from the power source, and remove deposits from all accessible water-carrying parts. Use only recommended cleaning agents and rinse away residues thoroughly. Before any long period of inactivity, ensure all parts are completely dry.
Replace suitable accessories in time
Filters and other humidifier accessories are consumables. Their performance decreases with continued use. Replacing them in time supports humidification efficiency and helps limit deposits within the device.
How to tell when maintenance is needed
A fixed schedule makes maintenance easier, but the condition of the device also provides important clues. How quickly residues form depends, among other things, on the duration of use, room temperature, and water hardness. Check the tank regularly and do not wait until the end of the season to clean it.
- A film is visible in the tank or on water-carrying parts, or the water appears cloudy or smells unusual.
